State Diabetes Programs

OLR Report 2015-R-0191 addresses a number of issues concerning diabetes prevalence and costs, outreach and prevention programs, and Medicaid coverage for diabetes education. Among other things, the report looks at:
  1. Connecticut's Diabetes Prevention and Control Program and other outreach and prevention initiatives,
  2. the number of Connecticut residents with diabetes or pre-diabetes and the associated health costs to the state's health care system, and
  3. other states with diabetes action plans.
