The Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM) recently issued a
bulletin regarding a new law (
PA 11-79) that, among other things, revises the types of bonds or surety that developers can use to comply with municipal land use commission requirements for subdivisions and site plan modifications. According to CCM, towns have expressed confusion over how to interpret and implement the new law. The bulletin includes the
minutes of an August meeting of municipal planners, attorneys, and developers to discuss the legislation’s impact.
