The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Justice are investing more than $100 million in research to improve the diagnosis and treatment of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in veterans, according to a September 2012 VA press release.
